On Friday September 4th, singer/songwriter Victor Anthony will play a kitchen concert at The Roxy. This will be his first show on the island since last December and tickets usually go fast so don’t delay. What is a “kitchen concert” you ask? It just means that the gig will be informal, unplugged and Victor will be performing a lot of the songs that he sings around the dinner table while Joelle is cooking. So expect covers of some pre-war classics, obscure numbers from the American South and of course a few of his quirky-but-rooted-in-tradition originals. Tickets are $15 at Artworks. Doors open at 7, downbeat at 7:30.
