Oceans Day at Descanso
June 7th is Oceans Day at Descanso Bay Regional Park. The Regional District of Nanaimo says Join us in a celebration of our beautiful Pacific Ocean and enjoy a playful afternoon of learning about the marine environment. Lemonade and snacks on sale.
The afternoon’s events include guided tide pool walks, games for kids, mural painting, marine stories, a scavenger hunt, and free guided kakyak paddles in the cove. The fun starts at 11:30 am and goes until 4 pm.
